BONUS PICKS - FINAL 9

Time to make your bonus picks. Once again - divide 15 points among three contestants giving each one AT LEAST one point (YoYoDawg didn't follow this rule last week - shame on you).

Here is a picture of Christian singer Jason Castro not smoking marijuana

A few thoughts from last night's show ...

Johnsie (as Mrs. Commish affectionately calls him) is back. It was hard to think of Dolly writing the "Sexy loving" part - but whatever.

Dolly Parton is awesome. For someone who is so unnatural looking at times, she is very comfortable in her "own" skin.

I thought Total Recall (Carly) did a great job. I liked that slower version of the song and she sang the crap out of it. She only made the Eddie Vedder face once or twice. It was crap for Simon to pee himself over Archie and put Carly down. She actually did great.

"You are ... ... ... ... ... Brooke White!" - Paula Abdul to ... ... ... ... Brooke White.

Mrs. Commish loved KKKristy's dress. That was the best part of the performance. It wasn't bad, just whatever.

How is it that I found myself thinking that David Cook might have the strongest vocals of all of the finalists? He sounded less butt-rock last night. NEWS UPDATE - Davy was rushed to the hospital last night for "heart palpitations and high blood pressure". Supposedly he is stressed about his brother who has brain cancer and had some sort of setback this week.

Brooke White should not have played guitar last night. Not only did it give her the intense strum look the whole performance, but her guitar playing sucked. She kept rushing the dude on the Cajon. I was actually really turned off by the way she transitioned from G to C to Am. I know it is picky, but I can't help it.

Jason Castro did a good job singing a song made famous by a Transvestite movie. I am sure Team IdolSmith was giddy with excitement that he sang about Jesus. That makes me happy too. He had just better hope that they don't do any random locker searches.

Syesha should have known better than to try to sing that song. She actually sounded pretty darn good, but after she started into the Whitney part I had to pause it and have this conversation with the wife ...
"Do you remember watching Whitney sing this song?"
"Yes."
"She was amazing."
"Yeah she was!"
"I mean incredible."
"Sho nuff, dawg."
Actually, I don't remember how the conversation ended. The point is that no matter how good Syesha was, she could never be that good. That is why one should always sing Gloria Estefan or Fergie songs because the original vocal already sucks.

Archie was the same old Archie. He got to sing about Jesus as well - you know - that guy Joseph Smith was always rambling on about. His vocals were good but they are getting kind of boring to me.

Ramie.....zzzzzzzzzzzz

We're starting to think that when Simon says "cruise ship performance", it's code for "America, please vote this person off!"

Wow, was I wrong in my PP Picks last night.

Brooke was awful. She was out of tune, rushed and sang the song in the wrong key for her. She should've taken it higher.

Ramiele has gotten progressively worse each week. It was so bad I almost felt bad for her.

Kristy Lee actually had moments of "betterness" (I know that's not a word) but all in all was just not good enough.

On the other hand, David Cook's vocals were so good that I picked up the phone and voted for the first time this season. Gasp. He was spot-on. Darn it!

I thought Jason gave one of his best vocal performances to date, but I don't know if anyone will appreciate it but me. Sorrow.

Carly was brilliant in her rendition of Here You Come Again. I LOVED it. It was the first time I was impressed with her all season.

Oh, and Johnsie. Whoo. I lost myself for a moment and felt completely mesmerized by his performance. It was hot. Sorry. :-)

Archie was good but whatever. I definitely wasn't hating Syesha, but there's no way someone can be remembered fondly for singing that song. Just... no.

Ok, enough rambling. Here are my picks:

10-Ramiele
3- Syesha
2- Kristy Lee

I'm gambling tonight.

Tonight’s picks are really difficult, because Team IdolSmith is not in agreement! The hard part is that the Mr. is a risk taker and I have to submit. We are going with his “gut feeling”. Let’s hope it pays off!

Definitely loved Jason and Michael Johns. Could not stand Simon.

IdolSmith is hoping that..
1.Filipinos in Hawaii showed up for Ramiele again…
2.No one voted with VFTW and Kristy is on her way out..
3.The fact that Jason was #3 on Top Yahoo searches today & Dolly’s “Travelin Thru” was #1 on Itunes Folk downloads means something good.
4.If No.3 isn’t correct, then maybe Alexis Arquette helped out by rallying friends to vote for Jason to keep him out of the bottom 3 this week.

13 Kristy
1 Ramiele
1 Syesha

Bessie Moo, you have been reading our mail! Your summary was almost verbatim the conversation between Mr Hoff and I last night.

I want to go all in Ramiele like we did last week, but she wasn't even in the bottom three... so we are going to split...

7 Kristy
7 Syesha
1 Ramiele

Just so you know, Zebra Fight was not absent last night. Zebra Fight was on the way to Blue Coast Burrito's Tuesday kids' night extravaganza (burrito kid's meals with a DRINK for $.99!) when Zebra Fight realized that Zebra Fight had not yet made picks. Zebra Fight texted them to the Commissioner with seconds to spare. And tonight, Zebra Fight's internet went inexplicably down, so Zebra Fight again texted the picks to the Commish.

Zebra Fight's habit of referring to themselves in the third person is annoying even Zebra Fight, so we will never do it again.

obviously i can't count this week...oh well...at least we got ramiele!!!

Ouch..IdolSmith is still a united team, but next time I hope "women's intuition" wins out.

Jason being safe kind of makes up for our huge loss. (Could you hear me scream Mrs. SimonSays?).

Go Dolly! PTL!

Zebra Fight needs a new internet service. Maybe you should switch to comcast!

Zebra fight is lame. Feeding kids vs. American Idol? Whatever. Change your name to Zebra fart.

No scores yet? Hmmm, the Paulatics must have come in last this week.
