We thought it would be great to mix the two greatest musical events - GMA Week and American Idol so you should be getting an e-mail about the first annual IdolSchmidol party. It will be next Tuesday (the 22nd which also happens to be Earth Day). It will start at 6:30 PM (post-dinner) and we will watch the awesome performances together. If you don't get an e-mail about it soon, then get in touch with me and I will give you the details. Hopefully we can catch some of the out-of-towners while they are here for the GMA festivities.

I'm really sad to say that at least my part of IdolSmith will not be attending the IdolSchmidol bash. BOO! I will be in Disney World with one of my boys next week.
BUT, it may be all for the best anyway..assuming that Mariah week doesn't throw Jason over the edge and he's still around, it would be hard for me to listen to any bashing of him that could take place amongst "some people" in the League. Also, I do alot of screaming and yelling at the TV and I am not sure I want to expose that side of myself to the competition. Hopefully the Mr. will join the party...have fun!

This would be the only good thing about staying at GMA Week beyond Sunday night. But alas I head back to Cali for Monday class.
Course, if I went to the Bash, my current streak of not actually watching the show would be broken.
And did you know that profb has previously brought out his tube top? I think it was at Easter, wasn't it?
Well, the part I was most looking forward to was the Castro bashing...........but I guess we'll still come.........you will be missed, Mrs. IdolSmith!

Oh that's right. You talked about it so much though that I somehow thought it was YOURS.
While all of this sounds incredibly exciting, I have to admit feeling a little intimidated. I don't know anyone! Well, except JC... and she won't be there. Some kind of lame excuse about not being in town. Whatever.
Anyway, all of you seem to have such high standing in the music world... and I'm just a stay-at-home mom that leads worship at church and writes opinionated blogs on the side.
