Wow. Just when you think the results are predictable ...
Last night was a little bit of a surprise.
First, Jason Yeager was kicked off. He had a stiff upper lip the whole interview trying not to bust out in tears.
Then Alexandrea was voted off. Nothing too surprising.
Then they had Kady and Alaina stand up. Kady looked like she knew she was going home and then they dropped the bomb that Carrie Underage was actually the one ousted. Of course they then made her sing "Hopelessly Devoted To You" while tears and snot were pouring from her face.
Next they had Wigs Carrico and Luke Mininard come out to center stage. Oh Robbie. I guess the drag racing bit was not enough to prove that he was hard-core because he was wearing a shirt with a huge skull on it to match his pirate do-rag with skulls and crossbones all over it. It is painful to see someone trying to hard. It was even more painful, once they announced that he was leaving, to hear Simon's "advice" for him.
Simon - "You know, I've said this from day one - it's authenticity. And I think the public saw what we saw and that was the problem. It just never, ever felt real, Robbie. Sorry."
Well, Simon has always been one to speak the truth, but I think there is a time to keep your mouth shut. I am actually quite worried that Robbie is about to go postal worker on somebody. If I were Simon, I would up my security detail to make sure that Robbie doesn't try to prove how authentically bad he is. I mean, it would be really easy for him to gag Simon with one of his plethora of do-rags and then beat him up with one of the chains he always has hanging from his jeans. Well, I take that back. I think the chains on the jeans you can buy at Mervyn's aren't removable. Lucky for Simon.
So on to the results. JC is this week's winner - edging out newcomer Zebra Fight by 2 points.
Prof B had the best pre-performance picks for the boys. (Yeager 10, Carrico 6)
Zebra Fight had the best pre-performance picks for the girls. (Alaina 8, Alexandrea 9)
Bessie Moo had the best bonus picks. (Yeager, Lushington, Carrico)

I'm going to play blind more often. I didn't even watch this week. Which from what I hear was probably for the best.
Hmmm, maybe JC has the right idea by not watching the show at all and just making blind picks. Much less painful, anyway.
I just hate that Alaina is gone. She had a bad night, but she still sings better than Amanda Scary-myer.
Amanda is just hideous. I'd definitely want her on my side in a bar fight, but not a Karaoke buddy.
Oh, more observations:
Kristy Lee Cook reminds me of Kate Boswell.
Alaina (RIP) Whitaker looks like the girl on Chuck - Yvonne Stahovski. She plays Sarah, the CIA agent on the show. Great show, BTW.
Syesha reminds me of that lady on the "Dewayde, bring me a big, shiny seashell" commercial. Oh, wait. That IS her.
A WIG!!! I thought it was, but I just couldn't believe anyone would do something like that on national television. I wonder if he wore it to his audition, and then felt stuck in the lie. What a wicked weave we weave...
When David was singing I told mr Hasselhoff that he sounded like Eva Cassidy, and then read that his version was inspired by Eva's. you can't go wrong with Eva Cassidy.
