Time to get the Pre-Hollywood picks in.
Pick ONE person you think will make it the farthest in the competition BEFORE the show on Tuesday night. (OK - I realize I am posting this pretty late - so there might be some leniency on lateness of these picks)
To put everyone on equal footing, feel free to browse the web to see who other people are excited about. There are rumors about who actually makes it past Hollywood - so feel free to use any of the information out there to help you make your pick.

After some extensive 'research' we are going with Syesha Mercado as our shot-in-the-dark final contestant.
Asiah - the girl who lost her dad two days before her audition! And not just because of the "story" - she really can sing! (and okay, I checked the rumor mills and it seems that she makes it past Hollywood!)
I considered Asia'h, but team ss beat me to her. I'm going to say David Cook, also having done extensive research. We'll see how accurate our 'sources' are, eh?
Peace and love to everyone! [And Team Simon, I'd really love some feedback on my demo. I've been waiting so long . . . so very long.]
We'll take Kristy Lee Cook. Never pick against the cage fighter.
Team35 here. Ready to kick you in the shins with our sweet, sentimental pre-Hollywood pick. And it is....
Brooke White
Newbies here...i know this is a gutsy (but potentially brilliant) move, but we're going w/ Amanda Overmeyer.
We are about to sit down to watch tonight's episode and have settled on the Irish Wonder - Carly Smithson.
We have to believe that an American kid that lives in his car but sings British is going to go far:
Josiah Leming
Argh. I don't know!!! I'm actually really torn between Carly Smithson, the kid who loves out of his car (although i think he's too much of a live wire), and the 16 yr old kid who has an amazing spot-on voice.
So, I'm going with David Archeluta (sp?) because I think a guy will win.
Michael Johns will be right up there, too. Just wait.
Commissioner:
can I change my pick to 'your mom'?
Prof B -
I would say go on ahead and quit your day job, by all means. Your future looks bright - it's EASY to break into the biz.........
:)
and hey, you can have Asiah, too, right Commish?
Okay, I'm posting for my friend, Jill T., who shall heretofore be known as "American Midol". Her pick is David Archuleta.
I'm going to play this whole season without a TV and base all my picks on rumors and buzz, like americanidolrumors.com. As such, my pre-Hollywood pick is Carly Smithson.
I also have to remember to post on Central, not Pacific Time. (Could you post times with Pacific included?)
hey 'beth allison', you're supposed to post with your team name. can't you read?
I pick the piano girl, Brooke White
Ok so let me get this straight - Coleton the lame singer with nothing special except a really cool sweater makes it through but Josiah got the axe....what a farce.
Seacrest Out! - 0 Points!
Hey Seacrest, don't take it so hard. You clearly did not take our Commissioner seriously when he said we could cheat.......er, I mean "do research"!!
I predict Seacrest Out will go far........
Good Luck!
hasselhoff with a close call. our girl had NO VOICE. we were sweating. mr. hasselhoff was wondering what i was thinking (since he wasn't in on my session of 'extensive research'). syesha was not even talking, but was writing everything down. we did not hear a peep from her until... SHE GOT UP AND DID HER THANG, DAWG! there was much fist pumping and who-let-the-dogs-outing in the hassel home at that point, I tell you!
Excuse me, JC-in-Cali-with-no-TV. I have no idea how to do that. Furthermore, if I hadn't gotten an email from Andy, I wouldn't have even known we were making picks already. So, there.
In light of all this, I MIGHT let you sleep on my couch tomorrow-Saturday while you're in town.
Ah, I'll figure out how to change my name. Grrr.
HA! Figured it out. All by myself.
Team Badnewz picked Syesha Mercado
